Week 4

Well this week we have been asked to create a page using the March 2014 store Mega kit Luck of the Irish, here's my page using this kit:

I had great fun playing with this kit I knew right away that I wanted to fade the two boys into the background but I wanted to also try something new. So I was playing around with the setting in my software and ended up with this sketched look which I then faded into the background and gave it a greenish tint. I also wanted to use the faded stamp that was in with the kit so I made a repeat pattern and used this to help merge the sketch photo into the backing paper.

Week 2: Growing Up

This week we were given the challenge to use the kit: Little Acorns Grow by Nibbles Skribbles & Jilbert's Bits of Bytes

Here's my take on the week 2 challenge.

We went to Chester Zoo last year and this is one of the baby elephants I thought this would be a different take on the idea of growing up...

All re-colouring, and changes made to papers/elements are done through my software Serif CraftArtist 2 no template or other kits were used this is all my own design.

The Studio 5 year Competition...

Week 1 - Paris

I did this competition last year and really enjoyed it so when I got the newsletter saying it was time again for this years competition I though oh yes count me in.

We have been asked to create a page using a sampler from the design team plus any extras from the Cafe in Paris range on offer this next week.

So here's my page for week 1:

This is an old family photo we have no idea who he is so I thought I'd make a page, and design it like he was a long lost love...

Created using elements from the Cafe in Paris Sampler by theStudio Design Team, plus elements from Cafe in Paris - Aimee Harrison and Cafe in Paris - Valentina. I have mainly kept to the colours of the sampler apart from recolouring one paper and the splats but I've worked to the colour palette of the kit. Punches, stitching and effects are from the software I use Serif CraftArtist 2.

Font used is: Alako-Bold

This is Steve about to eat a X X X L German Hot Dog. It was so long that it broke in half before he had chance to eat it so he was left with half in the bun and the other half in his hand. It didn't stop him though and he finished all of it. It was so good that we have said we will have to have this again next year...
